Director of Operations
Location:
South Windsor, CT
Shift: 1st Shift
Salary: $120,000–$140,000+ (based on experience)
Hours: 1st shift 8:00am to 5:00pm Monday-Friday

Job Overview 

The Director of Operations oversees multiple managers and departments, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and operational excellence. This role focuses on integrating diverse functions, driving productivity and quality improvements, and establishing systems for compliance and audits. Responsibilities include vendor management, supply chain oversight, production planning, and scheduling. 

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead day-to-day operations across multiple production departments to meet customer requirements for quality, safety, and on-time delivery.
  • Set clear goals and objectives using a LEAN mindset; communicate effectively through meetings and performance planning.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal business units and customers.
  • Manage budgeting, forecasting, and cost control for multiple departments.
  • Develop and retain talent through coaching, mentoring, and training programs.
  • Act as a team leader with integrity, fostering collaboration and alignment with organizational vision and values.
  • Drive continuous improvement and share best practices across departments.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business or Engineering (or equivalent experience).
  • 6–8 years of related experience (industry preferred).
  • MBA or advanced degree preferred; 10+ years of experience ideal.

  • Occasional travel.
