Pay Rate: $48–$55/hour
Contract: 1 Year
Position Overview
The Documentation Specialist will serve as the key liaison between the Project Team and Operations, ensuring effective documentation handover to support operations planning, start-up, and ongoing activities. This role involves developing and executing documentation strategies, ensuring contractor deliverables meet company standards, and managing information systems for seamless operations support.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage communications and schedules for Documents for Operations (DFO) activities.
- Liaise with Project Team, Contractors, and Suppliers to clarify documentation requirements.
- Conduct workshops and training on DFO processes.
- Monitor, review, and track DFO deliverables from contractors through to operations handover.
- Resolve issues and deficiencies in documentation processes.
- Perform DFO audits, report findings, and ensure corrective actions.
- Ensure all final documentation is uploaded to the Electronic Document Management System (UDocs/EDMS).
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in technical/engineering discipline (preferred).
- Experience in operations or technical support, ideally within production, refining, or chemical operations environments.
- Proficiency with document and information management platforms: ACONEX, AVEVA, SAP, AutoCAD.
- Advanced skills in information management, document control, and IT systems.
- Understanding of documentation needs for oil & gas facilities.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills; ability to influence outcomes without direct authority.
