Kelly Services is seeking an experienced Electro-Mechanical Assembler in Lockport, IL. Candidates must have experience with fine pitch soldering.

This is a contract to hire opportunity, meaning you will get hired directly after 3-4 months, depending on your performance and attendance.

Available shifts and pay:
$18/hr. – $22/hr., based on experience
1st Shift: 6am – 3pm or 7am – 4pm


Job Summary: 
Performs a variety of electronic and mechanical subassembly and assembly operations of a repetitive nature to build up units such as box builds, cable harnesses, and general electronic/mechanical assemblies.


What You'll Do:
Perform basic and/or advanced, standardized, and repetitive electro-mechanical assembly.
Perform Wire/Cable/Harness assembly.
Inspect Mechanical assemblies/Chassis/Cables/Harnesses for defects
May perform routine tasks in preparation for assembly such as cutting wire, stripping, wiring, and fastening connections.
Other production activities as required.

What You'll Need:
High school diploma, GED, and/or technical diploma and 3+ years' equivalent assembly experience and/or military technical training.
Must be able to read and understand work instructions, schematics, bills of material, diagrams, and engineering change orders.
Ability to do repetitive operations.
Ability to use a PC for basic operation (Word, Excel, etc.)
Excellent eye-hand coordination.
Excellent manual dexterity.
Accurate and detail-oriented.
Must be mechanically inclined and able to use hand tools and small power tools.
Ability to regularly lift and carry up to 40 lbs.; ability to stand for long periods.
Must be a conscientious and cooperative team player
Must be well organized and able to multi-task
Must demonstrate willingness to work overtime as needed (occasional)
Ability to solder and/or rework fine pitch SMT parts under magnification
