Kelly Services is hiring a Manufacturing Operator III – Laser Systems in Farmington, CT!
If you enjoy hands-on technical work and bringing complex machinery to life, this role puts you at the center of advanced laser system assembly and start-up. You'll perform wiring, testing, and commissioning of laser cutting machines while ensuring electrical and mechanical functionality meets strict quality standards.

What You'll Do
- Perform complete electrical and mechanical checks to ensure machines meet quality standards
- Wire, start up, and test laser cutting systems for functionality and cutting performance
- Detect, analyze, and troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues
- Work from blueprints, schematics, drawings, and parts lists to support machine assembly and testing
- Prepare approved machines for shipment
- Operate comfortably with high- and low-voltage electrical systems, pneumatic, and hydraulic circuits
- Control product quality by ensuring test results meet allowed tolerances
- Write and process quality reports and documentation
- Stay current on technical product revisions (ECNs)
- Maintain an organized and clean work area
- Support 5S, SYNCHRO, and Continuous Improvement Process (CIP) initiatives
What You'll Bring
- 3+ years of experience in machine assembly and start-up
- Strong knowledge of machine tools, electrical systems, and mechanical assemblies
- Ability to read and interpret documentation, schematics, drawings, and machine specifications
- Experience with high-voltage, low-voltage, pneumatic, hydraulic, electronic, and software-controlled systems
- Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and eager to learn new technologies
- Associate degree in Electronics or Mechatronics required
Schedule & Pay
- Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM–3:30 PM | Full-Time
- $27.10–$42.00/hr DOE
