Quality  TECHNICIAN
Kelly Outsourcing Consulting Group Kelly OCG, a managed solution provider and business unit of Kelly Services, Inc., is currently seeking a Quality Technician for a year-long engagement at one of our Global medical device clients in Plymouth, MN.This role is a full-time, fully benefited position. As a Kelly OCG employee you will be eligible for Medical, Dental, 401K, and a variety of other benefits to choose from. All Kelly OCG employees receive annual performance review.  Facilities Technician will work with the Supply Chain and Engineering departments with supporting critical functions in the R&D engineering lab and overall facility to ensure compliance activities are met, as well assisting in the as assembling and testing of devices for feasibility and development reprocessing projects.

Schedule: On-site Monday through Friday 8am to 5pm
Length of assignment: One year may extend
Pay: $31-33 an hour Depending on experience
RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Place orders, receive shipments, and manage receiving dock activities.
  • Keep accurate inventories and logs.
  • Ability to work with and deploy equipment.
  • Follow reprocessing processes to clean and inspect devices. Reprocessing steps can include device disassembly, cleaning, and decontamination, drying, inspections.
  • Perform inspection of products utilizing hands and/or common hand tools in a timely manner. Light assembly, rework and service prototypes and final devices as needed.
  • Execute manufacturing and process work instructions, record accurate results.
  • Execute R&D reprocessing device conditioning steps such as soiling, accelerated aging and simulated use- must be comfortable working with blood.
  • Execute R&D Design Verification & Verification testing including mechanical testing and electrical testing.
  • Maintain engineering R&D lab, including restocking of supplies and general housekeeping. Ensure that workstations, storage racks, benches, equipment, and loading dock meet internal requirements.
  • Lead site calibration activities including arranging new equipment calibrations, coordination with the calibration vendor, maintaining calibration records, and locating lab equipment due for calibration.
  • Assist with site Preventative Maintenance (PM) activities for equipment including performing and documenting PMs and performing or arranging PMs, including RODI water system and compressed air system.
  • Report data on calibration and PM/CM to Quality Management Team on a periodic basis.
  • Verify equipment has appropriate documentation for use.
  • Assist with equipment repairs and qualifications.
  • Lead shipping and receiving activities at the Plymouth site, including packaging items for shipping, scheduling UPS deliveries, sending and receiving internal and external couriers, and assisting with the transportation activities of devices and equipment.
  • Excellent skills for handling, assembling & measuring small objects using a binocular microscope.
  • Ability to adhere to Good Documentation Practices (GDP) to ensure travelers, data sheets, and test reports are completed in a compliant manner.
  • Adhere to and ensure all biohazardous regulations are followed.
  • Ensure that devices in biohazardous containers and waste totes are disposed of per process.
  • Validation testing of equipment including Test Method Validations. Work with specialized equipment during product validations.
  • Assist engineers with new product designs and fixtures.
Requirements
  • High School degree or Equivalent
  • Excellent skills for handling, assembling & measuring small objects using a binocular microscope.
  • Prior experience in medical device environment is preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Microsoft Outlook
  • Strong Good Documentation Practice (GPD) documentation skills.
  • Ability to work within an ISO structured quality system.
  • Knowledge of engineered materials and fabrication methods.
  • Good planning, multi-tasking, and project management skills.
  • Demonstrated track record of completing projects on time and accomplishing goals.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced environment
