Position: Field Service Engineer
Type: Direct Hire
Location: Beaverton, OR
Salary Range: $70K-$90K (Based on Experience)

Kelly Engineering is seeking a qualified Field Service Engineer for a direct hire role in Beaverton, OR. This is with our client, a leading global supplier of hardware/software solutions for semiconductor and electronics manufacturing.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Install and qualify Proprietary Semiconductor Equipment for high precision interconnection technology for IC Packaging. Specificity, Back-end Assembly Equipment on Chip to Wafer or Chip to Substrate bonding
  • Analyze, interpret, and make critical decision on process and equipment related issues
  • Interface with customers to ensure technical issues are addressed on a timely manner
  • Provide technical training at customers facility
  • Support machine Installation and Qualification (IQ) activities as defined by our customers
  • Understanding customer requirements to ensure system meets requirements and generate new business opportunities
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Education and Experience Requirements
  • Bachelors degree in Materials, Mechanics, Chemistry, Physics or Microelectronics with a minimum of 1 - 2 years experience in Integrated Circuit Packaging and Assembly related equipment
  • Strong hands-on application in Science or Engineering is a plus
Note: Only candidates with a Bachelors degree as a minimum or AS Degree with a minimum 4 years Semiconductor Microelectronics or Automation experience will be considered

Other Requirements
  • Must be willing to travel up to 50% of the time. Travel includes both International and Domestic
  • Must be able to work with minimal supervision
  • Good written and oral communication and interpersonal skills
  • Flexibility on work on afternoon or night shift
  • Strong analytical background is a definite asset
  • Understanding of Integrated Circuit Manufacturing from Wafer fabrication through Package level is a definite asset
  • Microsoft Office Suite competency preferred
