Description

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented HR Generalist to join our team. This role will primarily focus on managing payroll processing and supporting full-cycle recruitment efforts while also assisting in various other HR functions such as onboarding, employee relations, benefits administration, and compliance. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of HR best practices, employment law, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Payroll Administration:

  • Process bi-weekly or monthly payroll in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Maintain and audit payroll records to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
  • Handle wage garnishments, tax reporting, and year-end processes including W-2s.
  • Collaborate with finance/accounting on payroll funding, reporting, and reconciliation.

Recruitment & Talent Acquisition:

  • Manage full-cycle recruitment for open positions: sourcing, interviewing, coordinating hiring manager interviews, and making job offers.
  • Post job openings on job boards, company website, and social media platforms.
  • Maintain applicant tracking system (ATS) and ensure a seamless candidate experience.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with staffing agencies and community partners.

General HR Support:

  • Facilitate new hire onboarding and orientation processes.
  • Maintain HRIS records and employee files with high confidentiality and accuracy.
  • Assist with employee relations, performance management, and policy implementation.
  • Support benefits enrollment and open enrollment coordination.
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws and internal policies.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in a generalist HR role, with direct experience in payroll and recruitment.
  • Proficiency in payroll software (e.g., ADP, Paychex, Paycom) and HRIS platforms.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
