Interested in learning a new skill in manufacturing? Kelly Services is hiring an Industrial Paint/Powder Coater on behalf of a manufacturer of specialty hand tools and other products for the tire, roofing, screen, and metal fabricating industries.
$17.00 - $21.00 Per Hour
1st Shift 7:00 am – 3:30 pm Monday – Friday
Key Responsibilities:
- Paints or powder coat surfaces of manufactured metal products with wet paint or powder using spray gun
- Sets up an industrial washer for cleaning parts
- Masks parts as necessary per drawing
- Loads parts on conveyor
- Mixes coating, liquid to desired color, or pours powder into hopper
- Set the oven to specified temperature to properly bake paint or powder
- Checks parts after baking to ensure correct paint thickness using mil thickness gage
- Removes parts from conveyors and de-masks as required
- Must have experience in wet painting and powder coating of precision sheet metal fabrications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Mobility requirements include standing, walking, reaching and bending
- 2 weeks vacation after 1 year
- Paid holidays from day 1
- Earned 1/2-day vacation pay every 32 days for perfect attendance
- 401K eligibility at 6 months
