  • Pay Rates: $18.75/HR
  • 3rd Shift:  9:50 PM to 6:20 AM Monday through Friday
  • Referral Bonus: $200 after 90 days on assignment

SUMMARY: This is a Setup Specialist position for the manufacturing floor related to injection molding machines. Associates at this level are trained in various areas of the department and must meet the basic qualifications of the job description.

Essential Daily Tasks

  • Communicate with PMOs, Leads/Supervisors, and Engineers
  • Responsible for setups / change overs of mold bases and modules according to setup guidelines.
  • Setup part handling robots and change end of arm tools.
  • Ability to select, upload, and download qualified molding program.
  • Perform first article inspection of molded parts using a microscope.
  • Ability to analyze part defects and make process adjustments as needed.
  • Submit molds to get cleaned by in house tool room based on shot count.
  • Ability to clean barrel and screw of injection molding machine.
  • Responsible for cleaning and troubleshooting of molds.
  • Responsible for purging and switching of materials.
  • Keep tool carts organized with necessary tools to perform setups.
  • Read and interpret 2D blueprint drawings.
  • Operate overhead crane to move molds to desired location.
  • Clean and maintain work areas through Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) and 5S.
  • Abide by defined plant and department safety policies, including personal protective equipment (PPE)

Requirements/Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Keen eye sight and comfortable working with microscopes and small, delicate parts
  • Good communication skills be able to describe technical issues in concise and accurate ways.
  • Ability to understand and interpret 2D engineering drawings, particularly tight product tolerances.
  • Experiences in FDA regulated shop environment a plus.
  • Manage in-line production by verifying dimensions and visual product attributes through inspection (eye loupes, microscopes, etc.).
