Inventory Control Specialist
Paris, KY

Schedule: Monday – Thursday, 5:00 AM – 3:30 PM (mandatory overtime on Friday)
Pay Range: $20 – $24 per hour
Duration: Permanent OR Temp to Hire depending on the candidate and experience 

**Must have 2-4 years of inventory control experience**

Job Summary

The Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, monitoring stock levels, and ensuring materials and finished goods are available to support production and customer demands. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to coordinate with multiple departments in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Key Duties

Inventory Accuracy

  • Perform daily, weekly, and monthly cycle counts and reconcile variances.

  • Investigate discrepancies and recommend corrective actions.

  • Ensure timely and accurate updates in ERP/inventory systems.

Stock Monitoring & Replenishment

  • Monitor minimum and maximum stock levels.

  • Coordinate replenishment requests to prevent shortages or overstock situations.

  • Track aging inventory and report slow-moving or obsolete items.

Process Improvement

  • Review and refine inventory control procedures.

  • Collaborate with the Logistics Manager to improve inventory tracking and warehouse layout.

Reporting & Compliance

  • Prepare regular reports on inventory accuracy, stock variances, and material availability.

  • Support compliance with company policies and procedures regarding inventory management.

Cross-Department Coordination

  • Communicate with purchasing, production, and shipping teams regarding material status.

  • Support distribution center staff with inventory-related inquiries.

Qualifications
  • 2–4 years of inventory control or warehouse experience.

  • Strong knowledge of inventory systems and cycle counting.

  • Ability to analyze data and reconcile discrepancies.

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work with internal departments and vendors.

  • Ability to read, write, and interpret policies, procedures, and inventory documents.

  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to define issues, collect data, establish facts, and draw conclusions.

  • Ability to communicate professionally via phone and email.

  • Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs and perform physical activities such as standing, walking, bending, and reaching in a warehouse environment.

  • Manual dexterity required for handling parts, tools, and documents.
