Inventory Replenishment Planner
 
Kelly® Engineering is seeking an Inventory Replenishment Planner for a direct hire position at consumer products manufacturer located in Palatine, IL. If you are passionate about shaping the world we live in and are ready to reengineer your future, trust the experts at hiring experts.  

 
Overview 
 
Our client is a leader in the consumer products industry. They have a high-volume production facility in Huntley that has metal fabrication, painting, and assembly operations.
 
In this role you'll ensure optimal inventory levels to meet customer demand while minimizing costs and maximizing efficiency. This position requires strong analytical skills, the ability to collaborate cross-functionally, and a dedication to continuous improvement.

Responsibilities:

  • Forecasting: Develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts based on historical data, market trends, and input from sales and marketing teams.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels and replenishment cycles to ensure adequate stock levels while minimizing excess inventory and obsolescence.
  • Order Processing: Create purchase orders and manage the procurement process to ensure timely delivery of goods from suppliers.
  • Supplier Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to optimize lead times, pricing, and quality.
  • Demand Planning: Collaborate with sales, marketing, and product development teams to understand upcoming promotions, new product launches, and other factors impacting demand.
  • Data Analysis: Analyze inventory data, sales trends, and other relevant metrics to identify opportunities for improvement and mitigate risks.
  • Continuous Improvement: Proactively identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams including operations, logistics, finance, and customer service to align inventory planning with overall business objectives.
  • Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports on inventory performance, forecasting accuracy, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to management.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related
  • 2+ years of experience in inventory planning, replenishment, logistics planning, or supply chain management, preferably in a manufacturing or consumer goods environment.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel or other data analysis tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and levels of the organization.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and precision.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with shifting priorities and tight deadlines.
  • Knowledge of inventory management systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle)
  • APICS certification or other relevant credentials are preferred but not required.
