Job Title: Inventory Worker - Using the Scanner

Job Specifications:
- Job Type: 1 day GIG
- Location: Duluth, MN  
- Pay Rate: $25.00  
- Shift: 6 AM to 2 PM  

Roles and Responsibilities:
- Place colorful barcoded stickers called fixture stickers throughout the store under the guidance of the Store Manager or count leader.
- Be assigned to a specific area of the store by the count leader.
- Enter your name in the scanner before starting the count.
- Scan the fixture sticker for each assigned fixture in your section.
- Scan all items on the fixture, paying attention to accuracy and precision.
- Utilize the scanner's quantity input feature for items with multiples, instead of scanning each item individually.
- End the sticker by scanning the fixture sticker again.
- Write your initials on completed stickers to indicate they have been counted, preventing unnecessary re-counting.
- Follow productivity tips, such as scanning 3-4 inches from the barcode, listening for beeps after each scan, and reviewing the scanner screen for warning beeps.
- Ensure the scanner is logged out and returned to the designated area when not in use, allowing other team members to utilize it.
- Leave personal belongings at home or in your car, and refrain from using cell phones except during breaks.
- Bring a pen, small snack or sack lunch, and a drink for your convenience.
- Seek guidance from your count leader if you have any questions during the count.
- Record your time at the store on the provided sign-in sheet as instructed by the Store Manager.

Qualifications & Skills:
- Previous experience in inventory management or similar roles is preferred but not required.
- Basic knowledge of using handheld scanners or similar devices is a plus.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in counting and recording inventory.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with the count leader and team members.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Physical stamina to stand and walk for extended periods during the inventory count.
