Job Title: Kitchen Operations Associate
Pay Rate: $19.00 per hour
Schedule: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday
Shift Hours: 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.
Location: Rosemont, IL

Position Overview

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Kitchen Operations Associate to support the daily functions of our corporate kitchens. This role is essential in maintaining a clean, organized, and safe environment while assisting our culinary and product development teams. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced foodservice setting and is committed to upholding high standards of sanitation and efficiency.

Basic Purpose

Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety of the corporate kitchens while supporting culinary and product development teams with daily operations, events, and food preparation tasks.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Wash dishes and clean kitchen surfaces, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, organizing, and polishing.

  • Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and order within common kitchen areas before and after use.

  • Empty trash, recycling, and compost regularly; ensure proper waste disposal in designated bins.

  • Restock kitchen supplies and disposables; monitor inventory levels and report shortages.

  • Assist culinary and product development teams with kitchen setup and breakdown for meetings, product reviews, and events.

  • Unpack, rotate, label, and stock all incoming inventory following proper storage procedures.

  • Assist with basic food preparation and plating as needed.

  • Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment; promptly report maintenance or safety concerns.

Qualifications

Related Experience:

  • Prior experience in a large, fast-paced foodservice environment strongly preferred.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Ability to work in refrigerated or freezer environments for short periods (PPE provided).

  • Reliable transportation required.

  • Ability to comprehend and execute detailed verbal instructions.

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.

  • Understanding of sanitation and food safety protocols; Food Handler's Card preferred or willingness to obtain.

  • Ability to wear required PPE (gloves, safety shoes, aprons) and follow safe handling practices.
