Biomanufacturing Lab Technicians – Lenexa, KS
Kelly Scientific is currently recruiting for direct hire, local, full-time Biomanufacturing Technicians. The Technicians work various roles in vaccine production fully gowned in a clean room environment following Work Instructions and SOPs.
Details:

  • $19/hr to start with Career Progression (assessment at 6 months, 12 months, 18 months to move up pay grade and title)
  • Benefits, 401(k), and Paid time off
  • Schedules available:
    • Mon – Friday 3 weeks 5:30am – 2pm then 1 week Sat – Wed 9am-5:30pm
    • Sat – Wednesday 9am - 5:30pm with a weekend shift differential
    • Mon – Friday 3am - 11:30am
    • Mon – Friday 8/9am – 5:30pm frequent overtime positions available
Responsibilities:
  • Clean Room Aseptic Laboratory Work: Will train: Requires full clean room gowning, no hair or skin exposed, and no makeup, jewelry, or perfume allowed.
  • Dishware Preparation and Sterilization:
    • Wash, assemble, wrap, and label dishware, machines, and equipment when operating autoclaves
    • Prepare cleaning solutions, daily cleaning, and deep cleaning
    • Daily waste disposal, including hazardous waste
  • Extensive cleaning and quality inspection expected of all employees
  • Operate equipment, instruments, and machines for vaccine production and packaging
  • Understand and follow SOPs and GMPs
  • Thoroughly document all procedures
  • Discarding expired materials, ordering, and restocking supplies using First in, First out.
  • Use inventory tracking system and perform cycle counts
  • Visual inspection and disinfection of eggs and/or supplies and vaccine materials
  • Prepare materials for laboratory use
  • Other duties as assigned, must be willing to work overtime when necessary
Qualifications/Education/Skills:
  • High School Diploma/GED or Scientific College Coursework
  • Demonstrated Longevity in Previous Work History
  • Manufacturing experience preferred
  • Acceptable completion of background and drug screening
  • Able to work overtime, able to lift heavy items, spend most of day on the feet
  • Thorough cleaning and disinfection skills
  • Preference for candidates with previous science experience/knowledge
  • Good Communication, Eager to Learn, Reliable, Professional and Responsible
