Legal Administrative Assistant (6-Month Contract)
Location: Calgary, AB (Hybrid: Mon, Tues, Thurs in office)
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: 6 months (maternity leave coverage)


Join our Legal Services Department as an Administrative Assistant supporting the Vice President, Legal & Corporate Secretary, lawyers, and paralegals in our Corporate Secretarial Group. You'll play a key role in enabling effective business operations while delivering timely, accurate, and confidential support.

What You'll Do:

  • Independently manage schedules, emails, correspondence, meetings, and travel for legal leaders and team members.
  • Coordinate VP weekly reports and maintain electronic/paper records.
  • Support expense reporting, invoice management, mail processing, and calendar management.
  • Assist with onboarding new hires and provide administrative support across the legal department.
  • Collaborate with the team, communicate professionally with all stakeholders, and ensure confidentiality at all times.

What You Bring:
  • Legal Assistant Certificate and/or Diploma.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience supporting legal or corporate teams.
  • Ability to manage a high workload and tight deadlines; exceptional organizational and time management skills.
  • Initiative, discretion, sound judgment, and a commitment to confidentiality.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and a positive, team-focused attitude.
  • Strong MS Office skills; experience with TeamConnect and SharePoint is an asset.
