Job Title: Machine Operator
Location: North Kingstown, RI
Assignment Length: 4 Months (As a W2 employee of KellyOCG)
Pay Rate: $17.50 per hour
Shift Information: Standard first shift hours

Position Details:
The Machine Operator will operate various card production equipment to personalize debit/credit cards according to customer specifications. You will work with other operators, technicians, and supervisory staff to achieve daily and monthly goals, while performing minor equipment maintenance and adjustments per instructions. Success in this role requires an ability to work independently, performing quality inspections on your own output and identifying production or quality problems proactively.
Essential Functions / Key Areas of Responsibility:

  • Work in a high-paced environment, operating card production equipment and related activities.
  • Confirm work receipt and implement work priority decisions.
  • Consistently exceed production output and quality standards.
  • Perform minor equipment maintenance and adjustments, following written and oral instructions.
  • Work independently performing quality inspections to production standards.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area and uphold housekeeping standards of the workstation.
  • Identify potential production and quality problems; recommend remedial, corrective, or contingency actions.
  • Collaborate with operators, technicians, and supervisory staff to resolve issues and foster an effective work environment.
  • Comply with all security and production policies and procedures.
  • Possess basic computer skills; order supplies as needed.
  • Attend required training and meetings.
  • Meet safety standards.
Minimum Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent experience.
  • Basic computer skills and basic math skills.
  • Good communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Strong analytical, numerical, and reasoning abilities.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Problem-solving skills and ability to deal with concrete variables in non-standard situations.
  • Ability to interpret varied instructions (written, oral, diagrams, or schedules).
  • Ability to establish credibility, be decisive, and support organizational preferences and priorities.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 1–3 years of mechanical ability.
  • 1–3 years' experience with safety rules and maintenance instructions.
  • Intermediate computer skills.
Physical Demands:
  • Required to stand and operate machinery for 6+ hours a day.
