CNC MACHINE SET-UP / OPERATOR - WEST CHICAGO (MOVING TO NORTHBROOK START OF 2026)
Required: 3+ years of hands-on CNC setup and operation experience, ability to interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T, high school diploma+
Schedule: 1st shift (6AM – 2:30PM), 2nd shift (2PM – 10:30PM), 3rd shift (10PM – 6:30AM)
Overtime is highly encouraged
Pay Rate: $25 - $35, DOE

Key Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings (including GD&T), and work orders with a critical eye for detail.
- Select and load tooling, materials, and complex fixtures; responsibility starts with your setup.
- Perform first-piece and in-process inspections; use calipers, micrometers, and bore gauges—precision counts.
- Adjust tool offsets, edit programs as needed, and troubleshoot issues to keep production moving and minimize downtime.
- Prepare and set up CNC mills and/or lathes for each run—no shortcuts, everything done to spec.
- Keep your workspace and machines spotless; expect to mop and organize at the end of every shift.
- Handle chips, scrap, and tiny components like a pro—mistakes are costly.
- Document everything neatly and accurately, no scribbling, missing info, or sloppiness.
- Follow every safety and manufacturing protocol, every time, no exceptions.
- Collaborate with engineers, team members, and leadership—continuous improvement is part of the job.
- 3+ years of hands on CNC setup and operation experience (Swiss CNC highly preferred)
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Able to interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T.
Skilled with calipers, micrometers, and bore gauges. - Experience with Fanuc, Haas controls, or CAM software a plus.
- Mechanical aptitude and solid troubleshooting skills.
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Strong communication skills, team focus, and personal accountability.
- Willing and able to travel/relocate to our new Northbrook facility early 2026.
