The Machine Helper will perform various tasks to prepare equipment, load mail into postal trays, palletize trays, monitor the quality of mail while machines are running, and assist operators with additional tasks as needed.

Pay Rate: $18.00 per hour
Schedule:

• Current shift: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM (40 hours/week)
• Starting next year: Monday–Thursday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM; Friday, 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM (40 hours/week)

 

Responsibilities:

• Operate successfully in a fast-paced, high-speed environment
• Follow standardized work and safe practices
• Experience in manufacturing is a plus
• Operate and monitor multiple pieces of equipment during production
• Communicate with team members and support staff
• Ensure continuous, high-quality output with minimal waste
• Perform housekeeping and sanitation duties

 

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Familiarity with commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures
• Ability to follow instructions and pre-established guidelines
• Reports to supervisor/manager
