Maintenance Engineering Technician (Night Shift)
Location: Lodi, CA (100% Onsite)
Pay Rate: $28–$34/hr base pay + 11% night shift differential + weekly overtime
Schedule: Night Shift (5:00 PM – 5:00 AM, Wednesday–Friday + alternating Saturdays)

Kelly Engineering is hiring five (5) Maintenance Engineering Technicians to support our client, a global leader in diagnostics, at their high-volume manufacturing facility in Lodi, CA. These roles are on the night shift (D Schedule) and offer steady overtime, competitive pay, and the opportunity to gain experience in a regulated, automation-driven environment. This opportunity is well-suited to individuals with strong mechanical skills and experience in troubleshooting automated systems, who thrive in hands-on roles and are comfortable with overnight schedules. Responsibilities
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure equipment reliability and workplace safety according to established protocols
- Operate and maintain sophisticated automated packaging and filling machinery
- Hands-on mechanical, electrical, and automation troubleshooting on systems such as pumps, robotics, PLCs, conveyors, sensors, and vision equipment
- Collaborate with Operators and Engineering staff to minimize stoppages, machine faults, and downtime
- Support activities aligned with Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), including center-lining, cleaning, inspections, scheduled PMs, and equipment changeovers
- Record all maintenance, downtimes, and repairs accurately in digital tracking and reporting systems
- High school diploma (or equivalent) required; associate's or technical degree a strong plus
- Minimum of two years' relevant maintenance experience (or at least one year with an associate's/technical degree)
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude with hands-on troubleshooting skills
- Previous exposure to robotics, PLCs, automated production lines, or vision system technology is preferred
- Must be physically capable of tasks such as standing, squatting, lifting, and moving equipment throughout the shift
- Able and willing to work 12-hour night shifts, including regular built-in overtime
- Candidates from automation-focused sectors such as food processing, medical device manufacturing, wineries, dairy, or similar environments are encouraged to apply
