Description
Maintenance Planner/Coordinator job description:
• Requires full proficiency in a range of technical processes and procedures through job-related training and considerable on the job experience to perform a variety of work assignments. .
• Provides support for unplanned outages and becomes the back up for the unit Work Activity Coordinator and Planner.
• Identifies task activities necessary to execute job plan, and identifies materials/tools/equipment required to perform tasks.
• Identifies/solicits safety information and requirements necessary to safely perform tasks.
• Supports Maintenance Procedure Use Policy by ensuring all job packages include a procedure or the task is on the Procedure Exemption list before the job package is released. Checks that all Maintenance Procedures include a hazard assessment.
• Assists in allocation of resources for resource leveraging.
• Reports the progress of the daily work to enable adjustments to the work schedule when needed. Reviews work status with service providers and originators.
• Confirms that all scheduled job sequences, work and paperwork for the job have all been completed.
• Performs the role of shift procedure use focal point for maintenance activity.
• Able to serve as a planner and follow the planner responsibilities.
• Coaches crafts persons when completed procedures/checklists/equipment repair forms are not filled out correctly
