Role and Responsibilities:

  • Execute tasks as assigned by the Manager, from verbal instructions, written orders, or work orders.
  • Collaborate with the R&D team to accurately machine, assemble, and fabricate critical components across various domains, including mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
  • Perform Design of Experiments (DOE) tests and other tests as defined by the development team.
  • Design, fabricate, and machine fixtures, jigs, and tooling for new processes.
  • Generate and document setup sheets and machining processes, adhering to AceCo standards.
  • Build, monitor, and maintain new development equipment.
  • Collect and analyze data for machinery diagnostics.
  • Assist in the setup and installation of new machines and equipment.
  • Conduct electrical installations, diagnostics, and repairs on related equipment.
  • Utilize schematics, line diagrams, and both in-house and OEM hardware/software to diagnose and service new equipment.
  • Follow engineered drawings, prints, and work instructions to perform tasks effectively.
  • Assemble and replicate low voltage wiring PLC control systems.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot various types of equipment.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance on a wide range of electronic, electro-mechanical, and mechanical equipment and production systems.
  • Identify faults in new equipment, acquiring necessary parts and completing repairs.
  • Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain machine tool equipment and controls.
  • Use diagnostic tools like multi-meters and infrared scanning equipment for electrical/electronic diagnostics.
  • Collaborate with contractors and maintenance personnel to ensure proper repairs with minimal operational impact.
  • Communicate effectively with the team regarding steps taken, parts ordered, and estimated completion times.
  • Submit order requests for components and parts as needed.
  • Track and log repair work and work orders.
  • Maintain cleanliness and order in work areas and shop equipment.
  • Adhere to Lockout/Tagout and PPE requirements.
  • Interpret part manuals, electrical/mechanical schematics, assembly instructions, technical documents, and troubleshooting guides.
  • Operate with urgency to meet development goals and timelines.
  • Apply knowledge of CNC machine design and operation, using electrical test equipment and working with electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
  • Efficiently multitask job duties, working unsupervised when necessary.
  • Exhibit reading, writing, and general math skills.
  • Work overtime, including weekends as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in CNC machine design and operation.
  • Familiarity with electrical test equipment and systems (electrical, hydraulic, mechanical).
  • Strong multitasking abilities and effective communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and unsupervised.
  • Basic to advanced knowledge of hand tools and specialized tools.
