Description

Electrician – Manufacturing (3rd Shift)
Location: Jamestown, NY
Job Type: Full-Time (Direct Hire)
Pay Rate: $35/hour + overtime
Shift: Onsite, 3rd Shift – 10pm-7am, may fluctuate
Roles and Responsibilities

  • Safely troubleshoot, repair, install, and maintain electrical systems for manufacturing equipment.
  • Immediately stop work and report any potential injury hazards, ensuring a safe work environment.
  • Rigorously adhere to Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) standards; report all incidents or hazards promptly.
  • Minimize environmental impact through conscientious work practices.
  • Deliver high-quality craftsmanship for reliable and efficient equipment performance.
  • Support preventive maintenance activities to maximize equipment uptime.
  • Instruct and mentor team members, including coaching apprentices in the Skilled Trades Program.
  • Drive continuous improvement and participate in Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) initiatives.
Qualifications & Skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical education or certifications are a plus.
  • Significant industrial maintenance experience (minimum 7 years preferred, Millwright or equivalent).
  • Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills and experience with CNC machinery and engine component production.
  • Knowledge of NEC/IEC codes and 70E safety certification/training.
  • Familiarity with PLC, HMI, Servo Drives, CNC, automation, and robotic controls.
  • Proficient in reading schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings.
  • Safe and effective use of electrical testing tools (such as DVMs, Clamp Amps, Meggers, Multimeters).
  • Ability to provide training and mentorship for apprentices.
  • Mandatory overtime and weekend availability; flexibility to support varied operational needs.
