Kelly® Engineering has a great direct hire opportunity for a Manufacturing/Equipment Engineer with an industry leader in Groveport, OH. This position offers a salary up to $85K along with dynamic growth potential and a positive team environment.
The Manufacturing Engineer role is responsible for packaging equipment design, fabrication, and installation. With a deep understanding of production processes and machinery, you will be ensuring that the packaging solutions are efficient and cutting-edge. Acting as the liaison with equipment suppliers and overseeing preventative maintenance tasks, you will champion the introduction of new products and components.
Manufacturing Engineer Responsibilities:
- Examines and test machinery, equipment, components, and parts for defects to ensure proper functioning
- Disassembles broken or defective equipment to facilitate repair and reassemble equipment when repairs are complete
- Supports changeovers and equipment set-up.
- Resolves and supports machine issues involving sealing, perforations, conveyance jamming, and alarms
- Evaluate processes with the aim of continuous improvement via improved efficiencies, equipment improvements, and/or modifications to control processes.
- Performs statistical analysis on inspection and machine data for recommendations for product and/or process parameters changes, and/or sampling, controls, or process improvements.
Manufacturing Engineer Requirements:
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment
- Must have working knowledge of electrical, pneumatic and other skills necessary to design, build and install packaging equipment
- Hands-on working knowledge and experience with lean manufacturing and six sigma concepts and practices.
- Comprehensive knowledge of cGMP requirements
