Job Title: Deconstruction Technician / Material Handler
Location: Chandler, AZ 85226
Pay Rate: $16.50 - $18.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 6:30 AM - 3:30 PM or 6:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Job Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Deconstruction Technician / Material Handler to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for taking apart and organizing various electronic components, ensuring they are ready for resale or repair. This entry-level position requires basic computer knowledge and a willingness to learn.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deconstruct and break apart electronic units using hand tools.
- Pull apart components, including monitors, keyboards, and cables.
- Utilize scanners to track and sort units in the PreSort department.
- Assemble boxes for shipping and prepare items for clients.
- Clean and precondition units, including peeling off stickers and wiping down surfaces.
- Test Apple electronics, servers, laptops, and hard drives to ensure functionality.
- Navigate computer interfaces to verify unit details and data.
- Handle material receiving and organize products into the correct boxes.
- Perform light data entry and check in products and returns.
- Assign units to different customers based on their specifications.
Qualifications:
- Basic knowledge of computers and electronic components is preferred.
- Ability to work with hand tools and perform physical tasks.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
- Must pass a background check and drug test.
Work Environment:
This position involves working in a fast-paced environment with a focus on quality control and efficiency. The role includes handling various electronic components and requires physical activity, including lifting and moving items.
