Job Title: Material Handler – Repackage/Rework (Temporary Assignment)

Pay Rate: $16.50/hour
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
Duration: October 13 – October 24 (2 Weeks Only)

Job Overview:

We are currently hiring Material Handlers for a short-term project in Lancaster, TX. This is a temporary, full-time position lasting two weeks, supporting rework and repackaging operations in a fast-paced appliance distribution environment.

All applicants must be available to work every weekday during the project period.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Repackaging Products

  • Remove appliances from damaged or incorrect packaging

  • Repackage using appropriate materials (boxes, foam inserts, straps, etc.)

  • Ensure final packaging meets shipping and customer standards

  • Rework & Inspection

  • Inspect appliances for cosmetic defects or minor damage

  • Perform light repairs or adjustments

  • Replace missing components (shelves, knobs, manuals, etc.)

  • Labeling & Documentation

  • Print and apply accurate product/shipping labels

  • Record packaging/rework details in tracking systems

  • Document any issues or actions taken

  • Quality & Safety

  • Follow all quality assurance protocols

  • Report product or packaging concerns

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace

  • Material Handling & Collaboration

  • Move appliances using pallet jacks (forklift experience a plus)

  • Work closely with warehouse, QA, and shipping teams

  • Assist with inventory checks or cycle counts if needed

    Requirements:
    • Strong attention to detail and ability to spot defects

    • Basic mechanical or assembly skills

    • Ability to safely lift and move large appliances

    • Experience with RF scanners and warehouse tools a plus

    • Reliable transportation and commitment to full project duration
