Job Type: Monday to Friday 8am-4:30pm
Compensation: $19.86 per hour
Job Description:
Kelly Services is seeking a Material Handler to join our team in West Sacramento, CA. The Material Handler is responsible for loading and unloading materials within a warehouse or storage facility, utilizing hand trucks, forklifts, hoists, conveyors, or other equipment. This role requires following established guidelines and procedures to ensure efficient and accurate handling of materials.
Key Responsibilities/Essential Functions:

  • Perform physical movement of materials from one area to another using handcarts or forklifts.
  • Pick parts/products for shipment, ensuring accuracy of identification and quantity.
  • Physically and systemically receive/issue material requisitions from internal and external departments.
  • Create and maintain transactional inventory records.
  • Maintain accurate files of packing and shipping activity.
  • Communicate and notify appropriate personnel of shipping/inventory discrepancies.
  • Fill kits and deliver to production as required.
  • Maintain stocking/inventory objectives.
  • Quantify and verify cycle counts.
  • May assist in training new hires.
  • Comply with EHS & Quality System regulations and policies.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
  • High school diploma/GED or local equivalent.
  • 1-3 years of experience in storing and material handling.
  • Knowledge of commonly-used practices and procedures in the field.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak in local language.
  • Proficient in basic mathematics.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Ability to communicate well and work with others.
  • Ability to consistently lift [specify weight, e.g., up to 50 lbs].
  • Ability to utilize automated lifting equipment.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Forklift certification a plus.
  • Experience with inventory management systems
