Kelly Engineering is currently seeking an Inventory Lead/Material Handler for a long-term engagement at a premier Medical Device Optical Solutions Manufacturing client in Milpitas, CA.

You will be responsible for executing product performance test protocols and recording the results.

Inventory Lead/Material Handler
Temporary Warehouse Associate Medical Device Environment MDSR Primary; SAP Preferred Duration: Temporary contract 12 months, Reports to: Warehouse Supervisor / Inventory Lead Position summary: Seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Temporary Warehouse Associate to support material flow in a regulated medical device environment.
- The role will perform receiving, cycle counts, work order creation, and shipments primarily using the MDSR application. SAP knowledge is preferred but not required.
- The successful candidate will follow quality-driven processes and contribute to maintaining inventory accuracy and product integrity.
- Receive inbound materials using MDSR: inspect shipments, verify packing lists, document discrepancies, and record receipts.
- Decontamination may be required.
- Execute cycle counts and inventory reconciliations in MDSR; investigate variances and document corrective actions.
- Create, update, and release work orders via MDSR to support production; ensure accurate material staging and tracking.
- Prepare outbound shipments following MDSR-directed tasks and established shipping procedures.
- Maintain accurate location- and lot-level inventory records in MDSR; support physical-to-system location audits and investigations
- Complete required documentation and electronic records in compliance with QMS procedures, traceability, lot control, and change control where applicable
- Follow all cleanliness, handling, and contamination-control procedures required in a medical device facility.
- Operate basic warehouse equipment safely, pallet jack
- Communicate effectively with procurement, production, quality, and planning teams to resolve material discrepancies and expedite issues.
- Hands-on experience using Salesforce MDSR application Preferred
- Prior warehouse or production-support experience in a regulated or manufacturing environment, 1+ year
- Strong attention to detail and accurate electronic data entry.
- Ability to lift and maneuver up to 50 lbs. with assistance.
- Good communication skills and ability to follow written SOPs and quality procedures.
- Willingness to comply with PPE controls during the decontamination process, and controlled-environment rules as required.
- Preferred Familiarity with SAP inventory application
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams
- Experience with cycle-count programs, inventory reconciliation, and investigations in a regulated environment ISO/FDA context
- Work environment physical demands Medical device manufacturing/warehouse environment with frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting
- Strict adherence to PPE, sterility/cleanliness, and quality systems.
- Ability to work required shifts and occasional overtime as needed
