What's a typical day as a Materials Buyer? You'll be:
- Maintaining thorough understanding and accurate management of process-related systems for assigned suppliers and parts, ensuring sufficient inventory levels to support warehouse packing operations and plant production.
- Establishing and nurturing communication networks with the supply base to foster positive relationships focused on delivery performance.
- Identifying, evaluating, and escalating critical issues to management to ensure timely resource allocation and develop specific countermeasures to mitigate risks.
This job might be an outstanding fit if you:
- Hold a Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or possess equivalent related experience, with an average of 4 years of experience in a related field if no degree.
- Have knowledge of basic inventory management and manufacturing workflow, along with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Possess strong organizational skills, the ability to prioritize tasks with limited direction, and a knack for troubleshooting complex problems in a team-based environment.
