Description
Are you a highly organized and detail-oriented individual with a strong mechanical aptitude? Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy coordinating the flow of work? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you as a Mechanical Expeditor! In this temp-to-hire role, you will be the central hub for coordinating and facilitating the repair process, ensuring efficiency and quality throughout our repair departments. You'll be responsible for defining labor and material needs, estimating costs, managing inventory, and streamlining communication between departments.
Essential Duties:
- Scheduling/Repair Processing:
- Maintain a real-time understanding of the production schedule.
- Expedite motor repairs, ensuring timely shipment.
- Create daily schedules based on job priority, collaborating with sales and shop supervisors.
- Manage approvals and assist with ERP system time tracking and scheduling.
- Organize pulled parts in job bins.
- Knowledge:
- College-level knowledge of electromechanical maintenance and repair, typically acquired through an associate degree in Electromechanical Technology (or equivalent).
- Working knowledge of D.C. and A.C. motor theory.
- Proficiency in using personal computers and relevant software.
