Direct and oversee the planning and execution of calibration, maintenance, and repair activities for both GMP and non-GMP processes and support instrumentation. Coordinate resources to diagnose issues, conduct investigations, and implement reliability engineering solutions for such equipment. Manage both internal and external resources to carry out routine and emergency calibration tasks.

Metrology Manager Responsibilities:

  • Oversee both scheduled and on-demand calibrations to maintain support for process equipment and systems, adhering to established procedures and approved practices.
  • Manage both internal and external vendors to ensure support for the calibration program.
  • Maintain cGMP records, both in paper-based and electronic formats.
  • Uphold Metrology SOPs as required, conducting revisions, and maintaining author/owner responsibilities.
  • Perform calibrations across multiple disciplines, including balances/scales, flow, temperature, conductivity, pressure, transducers, and UV, as needed in a GMP/GXP environment.
  • Manage contract service providers, including scheduling, training on required SOPs, coordination, and ensuring all work and documentation meet cGMP requirements.
  • Take ownership of and provide subject matter expertise (SME) support for CAPAs, Change Controls, and Deviations
Metrology Manager Requirements:
  • 5+ years of metrology/calibration experience in a GMP regulated environment.
  • Proficiency with SAP
  • Experience in a supervisory role.
