Kelly has partnered with a national food packaging and food processing company. We are hiring for Mixer/Machine Operator. You will report to the shift supervisor and join a team of 235 plus team member. You will work onsite at their Food manufacturing plant in Kent, WA.

Job Summary:
As a Mixer/Machine Operator, you will be responsible for weighing and mixing dry and liquid ingredients to produce batter for pancakes and waffles. Your role will involve monitoring the mixing process, ensuring formula and consistency, and releasing the batter to the cooking lines. Additionally, you will be responsible for regular cleaning of the work area and performing shutdown and sanitation procedures on the assigned line. This position is available in Kent, WA and offers day, swing, and grave shifts.

Job Specifications:

• Job Type: Fulltime
• Pay Rate: $24/hr with shift differential
• Shift: Dayshift (5:30am – 2pm), Swing (1:30pm – 10pm), Grave (9:30pm – 6am)
• All positions are Monday to Friday with overtime on Saturdays and Sundays

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Operate the machine that mixes ingredients such as salt, flour, eggs, and soda to produce batter according to the formula
• Weigh and mix ingredients in the mixing tank
• Hand stir the mix using long spatulas
• Record information regarding ingredients and timing
• Receive instructions from the Cook regarding the mixes needed
• Record temperature of mixes
• Adhere to safety, food safety, SQF, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) standards at all times
• Clean and sanitize equipment and surroundings specific to the focus area
• Understand and follow proper cleaning and sanitizing techniques, ladder safety, water and drain management
• Have basic knowledge of plant specific cleaning and sanitizing chemicals and their handling
• Maintain regular attendance and be able to work overtime to meet production deadlines
• Rotate to the position of Production Specialist as needed
• Report any food safety problems to personnel with authority to take action
• Perform other production specific duties as required
