 Bookkeeper/AP/AR Specialist
 

Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Bookkeeper/AP/AR Specialist to join our customers team. This role provides comprehensive accounting support with a focus on accounts payable and receivable. If you have a sharp attention to detail and thrive in dynamic environments, we encourage you to apply.

Key Responsibilities

Bookkeeping Duties:

  • Maintaining the general ledger
  • Recording transactions and posting journal entries
  • Preparing trial balances and managing cash accounts
  • Ensuring accurate and up-to-date records

Accounts Payable (AP):

  • Processing and verifying invoices
  • Matching invoices to purchase orders
  • Managing vendor payments and reconciling vendor statements

Accounts Receivable (AR):

  • Generating invoices and processing payments
  • Managing collections and resolving billing issues

Financial Management:

  • Preparing financial reports and reconciling bank statements
  • Supporting audits and ensuring compliance with regulations

Core Duties:

  • Coding invoices, processing payments, managing collections
  • Reconciling accounts and maintaining comprehensive records
  • Assisting with period-end closings

Requirements & Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online is required
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Proven ability to use financial reporting tools and advanced Excel functions
  • 2-5 years bookkeeping experience
  • Certifications (QuickBooks, Xero, etc.) are a plus
  • Experience in construction/service industry preferred but not required
  • Familiarity with small business accounting challenges
