Job Summary:

The Occupational Nurse is responsible for promoting and maintaining the health and well-being of employees within the workplace. This role provides direct nursing care, conducts health assessments, facilitates workplace health and safety programs, and supports compliance with occupational health regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide nursing care and first aid to employees for work-related and non-work-related injuries and illnesses.
  • Perform health and wellness assessments, screenings, and vaccinations according to company policies.
  • Maintain accurate records of employee health, treatments, illnesses, and workplace incidents.
  • Participate in health promotion, disease prevention, and education programs for employees.
  • Assist in the identification, evaluation, and management of occupational hazards and risks.
  • Support return-to-work programs and monitor recovery of injured or ill employees.
  • Coordinate with external healthcare providers, insurers, and local authorities as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with regulations and standards from OSHA (or relevant authorities), and maintain confidential health files.
  • Advise management on workplace ergonomics, safety measures, and employee wellness.
  • Respond during emergency situations and participate in disaster preparedness planning.
  • Contribute to the development and revision of company health-related policies and procedures.
Job Requirements:
Education:
  • Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
  • Certificate or training in Occupational Health Nursing preferred.
Experience:
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience as a nurse, preferably in an occupational health or industrial setting.
