ThermoFisher Scientific is seeking a diligent Packaging Technician (Contingent) to join our Repack-Labeling department in Ward Hill, MA. This hands-on role focuses on repackaging and labeling of products to ensure quality and compliance with our rigorous standards. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, and thrives in a collaborative production environment. Key Responsibilities
- Repackage products according to company and customer specifications.
- Accurately apply labels and verify correctness and legibility.
- Perform routine quality control checks on all processed items.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace.
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily production targets and deadlines.
- Safely operate packaging and labeling equipment.
- Report equipment issues or product discrepancies to the supervisor promptly.
- Complete documentation and logs with accuracy.
- Participate in training sessions to enhance skills.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous manufacturing or packaging experience preferred, not required.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Basic math skills for counting and measuring.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Able to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
- Willing to work flexible hours, including possible overtime and weekends.
Physical Requirements
- Lift up to 50 pounds.
- Stand, walk, bend, or move for extended periods.
- Manual dexterity for handling small parts/tools.
Work Environment
- Manufacturing/warehouse setting with exposure to noise, dust, temperature changes, and product scents.
