Title: Patient Engagement Coordinator
Location: King of Prussia, PA
Duration: 6 months +
Pay Rate: $30.00/hour – $35.50/hour


Overview

  • Plays a key role in supporting the launch and ongoing management of a new patient advocate program. This includes recruiting, onboarding, and training patient advocates, as well as managing program assets and ensuring all materials are fully developed and approved
  • Requires close collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders, including Marketing and Sales, and involves direct engagement with the advocate speaker board.
  • Additionally, the coordinator will support key Patient Engagement initiatives such as the Junior National Championship and Advocate Training Summit.

Responsibilities
  • Under direct supervision from Sr. Manager, manage the daily activities related to a patient educational program, acting as the main point of contact for questions or requests from team members, speakers, and field employees.
  • Support the management of a speaker board composed of patients and caregivers living with rare diseases, ensuring meaningful engagement, logistical coordination, and alignment with strategic Patient Engagement objectives.
  • Support the creation of key patient/caregiver content including video shoots and media campaigns.
  • Support the onboarding and training of new speakers, maintaining up-to-date and approved training materials.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify and optimize recruitment channels for new patient speakers for key commercial initiatives.
  • Coordinate and conduct interviews with potential candidates and provide comprehensive summaries to relevant stakeholders.
  • Develop and implement program materials and resources to support advocate activities, ensuring timely development, review, and approval.
  • Assist the Senior Manager in delivering sales training.
  • Oversee and initiate the contracting process for new patient speakers, ensuring all executed contracts are properly stored and accessible.
  • Coordinate weekly touchpoints with the marketing team to ensure alignment and progress on ongoing projects.
  • Maintain compliance with CSL Behring's training requirements, SOPs, and Pharmacovigilance guidelines.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement and development of patient programs

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 2 – 4 years managing or supporting patient programs, advocacy initiatives or similar engagement efforts
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, Outlook)
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, meet deadlines and coordinate across teams
  • Working with cross-functional teams (examples marketing, sales, legal and compliance)
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships with advocates and internal stakeholders
  • Familiarity with patient advocacy, rare disease communities or healthcare/pharmaceutical industry
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications
  • Understanding of patient-centric approaches and sensitivity to patient needs and experiences
  • Experience working within a regulated environment, ideally in pharma or biotech
  • Experience supporting or coordinating patient events (highly preferred)
  • Knowledge of relevant legal, compliance and regulatory requirements to engage with patients

Additional Information
  • Monday – Friday / Hybrid (50% required to be onsite: specific details to be worked out with manager)
  • Contract role: coverage for team member going on leave
