Job Title: Pick and Pack Worker
Payrate: $25.00
Summary: We are seeking a dedicated Clinical Packaging Operator III to lead the in-house printing, labeling, and packaging of clinical pharmaceutical products in compliance with cGMP, PQS, and Safety standards. This role emphasizes teamwork and effective management of production needs to meet scheduled timelines. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with management to prioritize tasks and timelines, exercising independent judgment while seeking guidance from leadership when necessary.
Basic Expectations:
- Attend required training in cGMP, safety, and on-the-job training.
- Maintain required qualifications and training protocols.
- Ensure a safe, clean workspace.
- Drive quality, safety, and efficiency improvements.
- Foster a teamwork-oriented environment to meet departmental production demands.
- Serve as a Subject Matter Expert in packaging processes and activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute packaging, labeling, and inspection tasks, and perform additional duties as needed.
- Complete all relevant documentation, including FNs, batch records, and equipment logs, in accordance with cGMP regulations.
- Act as the primary point of contact for Packaging and In-House Labeling issues, providing timely resolutions to complex challenges.
- Review batch records, forms, and documents promptly to ensure compliance.
- Collaborate with relevant groups to address process-related issues and initiate discrepancies when necessary.
- Communicate effectively with peers, management, and Quality Assurance to resolve process-related issues.
- Support departmental training initiatives in partnership with the PTD Training team.
- Lead or assist with departmental projects, including research, analysis, solution formulation, documentation, and reporting findings.
- Oversee Change Management activities as required.
- Prepare and present departmental performance metrics to leadership.
- Participate in scheduling meetings with a focus on safety and quality inputs.
- Coordinate and schedule staff meetings as needed.
Job Requirements:
- Education: Minimum of a High School diploma; Bachelor's degree in a related technical field preferred.
- Experience: Several years of relevant production experience in a pharmaceutical or regulated environment.
Skills and Attributes:
- Extensive knowledge of packaging functions and related processes.
- Proven ability as a technical and functional expert, developing innovative concepts and techniques to complete complex assignments efficiently.
- Capacity to lead teams when required.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, especially in routine tasks, while following detailed instructions for new assignments.
- Proficient in problem-solving within established policies and procedures.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with peers, supervisors, and management, handling complex and sensitive information diplomatically.
Work Environment & Physical Demands:
- Required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) such as gowns, gloves, steel-toed boots, and safety glasses when necessary.
- Ability to work in controlled environments as required.
- Flexibility to work overtime and adjust schedules beyond normal working hours.
- Proficiency in using computers and RF equipment as needed.
- Ability to stand or sit for extended periods and perform repetitive packaging tasks, including visual label inspections.
- Must be able to lift 40 lbs and exert up to 75 lbs of force when pushing or pulling.
