You'll play a key role supporting and overseeing press operations, ensuring product quality and safety in a clean, organized environment. These temp-to-hire roles offer competitive pay, shift differentials, hands-on training, and career growth into higher-level press positions.
Job Title: Press Assistant / Press Operator
Location: Telford, PA
Shift: 2nd & 3rd shift are available (2nd Shift - 3 pm to 11 pm Monday through Friday 3rd Shift - 11 pm to 7 am Monday through Friday)
Rate: $19 – $20/hr
Work Environment & Schedule
- Full-time, Monday–Friday
- 2nd Shift: 3:00 PM–11:00 PM
- 3rd Shift: 11:00 PM–7:00 AM
- Manufacturing shop floor environment with hands-on production tasks
Production & Operations
- Oversee and operate high-speed printing presses
- Prepare materials, tools, and equipment for changeovers
- Train assistants on press operations and procedures
- Perform any preventative maintenance as per company protocols
- Control and inspect product quality in line with company standards
- Perform visual and routine quality checks
- Record accurate quality, production, and waste data
- Report and document all safety-related issues and comply with company protocols
- Maintain and keep equipment and work areas clean and orderly
- Label, organize, and stage materials for efficient workflow
- Work independently and as part of a team to meet production goals
- Follow direction from supervisors, support team productivity, and assist in career advancement into Press Operator roles
- Previous manufacturing experience preferred
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to stand for full shifts
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail
- Steel-toed footwear preferred (toe caps provided if needed)
- No jewelry permitted on production floor
