Job Title: Procurement Analyst - AstraZeneca

 

Position Overview:

AstraZeneca is seeking a highly motivated Procurement Analyst to join our dynamic team. The Procurement Analyst will be responsible for analyzing procurement data, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and supporting strategic sourcing initiatives across the organization. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to AstraZeneca's mission of improving patient outcomes through innovative procurement strategies.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

Data Analysis and Reporting:

 

Utilize analytical tools and techniques to analyze procurement data, including spend analysis, supplier performance, and contract compliance.

Generate reports and dashboards to provide insights into procurement metrics, trends, and opportunities for improvement.

Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to track procurement performance and measure progress against goals.

Cost Savings Initiatives:

 

Identify cost-saving opportunities through data analysis, market research, and supplier negotiations.

Support strategic sourcing projects aimed at optimizing supplier relationships, reducing costs, and improving overall value for the organization.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement cost-saving initiatives and ensure alignment with business objectives.

Supplier Management:

 

Assist in the evaluation and selection of suppliers, conducting supplier assessments and due diligence as needed.

Monitor supplier performance against key metrics and service level agreements (SLAs), identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.

Support supplier relationship management activities, including regular business reviews and performance discussions.

Contract Management:

 

Assist in the management of procurement contracts, including contract review, negotiation, and administration.

Ensure compliance with contract terms and conditions, including pricing, delivery, and quality requirements.

Collaborate with legal and finance teams to resolve contract-related issues and mitigate risks.

Process Improvement:

 

Identify opportunities to streamline procurement processes and improve efficiency through automation, standardization, and best practices.

Work closely with stakeholders to understand business requirements and implement solutions that drive continuous improvement.

Participate in cross-functional initiatives to enhance procurement capabilities and support organizational growth objectives.

Qualifications:

 

Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or a related field. Advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., CSCP, CPSM) is a plus.

2+ years of experience in procurement, supply chain, or related field, preferably within the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry.

Proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques, such as Excel, Power BI, or Tableau.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and draw actionable insights.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.

Knowledge of procurement best practices, market trends, and supplier management principles.

Experience with procurement systems (e.g., SAP Ariba, Coupa) is preferred.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
