Location: South Windsor, CT
Pay Rate: $18.35/hour
Schedule: Early Weekday Shift – Sunday, Monday, Tuesday (rotation Wednesday), 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM

A local production facility is seeking a dedicated and energetic Production Control Assistant to join their fast-paced team. In this critical role, you'll be responsible for managing the flow of production jobs across various machines during your shift. Your top priority will be ensuring that all jobs, especially those marked with Date of Delivery (DOD), are processed efficiently and on time.
This is a physically demanding role that requires stamina, attention to detail, and a strong sense of responsibility. Perfect attendance is essential, as consistency is key to the smooth operation of the team.
Key Responsibilities:-
Expedite production jobs across machines based on shift priorities and Supervisor direction.

Physically move trays and rolls of work to designated machines, coordinating with Machine Operators and Production Control Supervisors.

Monitor, track, and log the status of jobs in the system throughout the shift.

Address any job flow issues or delays promptly with shift Supervisors.

Maintain a clear understanding of the floor's priorities and ensure job assignments are followed through.

Uphold safety standards, including the use of safety shoes and proper handling techniques for heavy carts.

Strong physical stamina and ability to walk extensively during the 12-hour shift.

Comfortable pushing heavy carts and maneuvering materials manually.

Solid communication skills to work collaboratively with multiple departments.

Reliable and punctual – perfect attendance is a must.

Willingness to work mandatory overtime only as needed to cover absences.

Basic computer skills for job tracking and logging.

Ability to follow direction and work independently after training.

Shift: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday (and rotating Wednesday), 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM

Schedule: Set weekly schedule with rare mandatory overtime (vacation/sick coverage only)
