Production Control Supervisor
Location: Hazel Park
Compensation: up to 80k
Hours: 10:30 p.m. to 7 a.m.
DIRECT HIRE
 
Support plant production control systems and materials management. Support the company Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Coach and develop Production Control Team Members/Leaders by fostering the EPIQ Way.
 
Responsibilities

  • Supervises daily cycle counts by tracking weekly and monthly progress of team. Ensure 100% of parts are counted monthly and each cycle count has a minimum of 98% accuracy.
  • Assures systematic moves for material in/out of all locations are accurate.
  • Supervises Production Control Team Lead and Team members.
  • Monitor quality processes and ensure inventory is moving back into production or being physically scrapped out accurately and efficiently.
  • Schedule production to manage customer demand and fluctuations.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy so that EnovaPremier MRP system and customer systems match.
  • Process supplier vendor returns through EnovaPremier MRP system to update inventory.
  • Perform Auto and Manual production postings in EnovaPremier MRP & MES system accurately to ensure integrity of inventory.
  • Track late loads and notify customer of potential shortages that could cause an interruption.
  • Manage trailer yard to ensure inventory in yard is accurate.
  • Manage trailer movements from yard to dock and vice versa.  This includes shipments to customer site and movement of inventory.
  • Communicate with cross-functional departments to ensure company goals and KPIs are met.
  • Other duties as assigned.
 
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
Experience  MANDATORY  3-5 years in inventory control, materials, or production planning, along with extensive experience in a manufacturing environment (preferably automotive).

Management Experience
MANDATORY 2+ years of supervisory experience. 
 
Education
Associate degree in education, business, engineering, supply chain, or a related field   Analytical Ability Strong decision-making ability. Results oriented. Customer satisfaction mentality.   Communication Ability Strong verbal and written communication skills required. Maintain strict confidentiality of any proprietary business-related information and employee information to which entrusted. Ability to communicate with the customer appropriately and effectively.
Computer Skills Proficiency with MS Office products required, primarily in Outlook & Excel. MRP & MES experience required. Inventory management experience required.  
Physical Demands
Ability to lift up to 70lbs.
