Join Smurfit/WestRock as a Production Helper III (Corrugated Packaging) at the Blue Springs, MO facility, supporting production of corrugated board, die-cut boxes, and custom packaging for retail, industrial, and e-commerce customers.

? Shifts: 1st (7:00 AM – 3:00 PM) — 2 needed | 2nd (3:00 PM – 11:00 PM) — 1 needed | 3rd (11:00 PM – 7:00 AM) — 1 needed

? What's a typical day as a Production Helper III? You will:

  • Safely operate and support a variety of corrugated manufacturing equipment and auxiliary systems.

  • Perform make-ready and shutdown procedures under instruction.

  • Conduct quality inspections and verify product against inspection criteria (labels, dimensions, board quality).

  • Set up materials, maintain waste and efficiency standards, and complete required production paperwork.

  • Maintain a clean and safe work area, performing housekeeping duties.

  • Report equipment issues and assist with basic troubleshooting and inspections.

  • Lift, stage, and move materials as needed; support other departments during changeovers.

This job might be an outstanding fit if you have:

  • Prior manufacturing experience (corrugated/packaging experience preferred).

  • Comfort working in a safety-sensitive, machine-driven environment.

  • Ability to work overtime, up to 12-hour shifts, and occasional Saturdays.

  • Basic math skills, ability to read a tape measure to 1/16", and basic computer input skills.

  • Physical ability to lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs and stand/walk/bend/kneel for a full shift.

  • High School diploma or GED.

  • Pass a drug screen and background check; must be 18+.

Preferred:

  • Experience operating corrugators, die-cutters, flexo/print, folder-gluers, or slitter-scorers.

  • Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.

Physical Requirements:

  • Repetitive movements, exposure to industrial noise, and potential temperature variability.

  • PPE required.
