Position Summary
AstraZeneca's Manufacturing Team seeks four Production Operators (Contract Manufacturing Specialists) to support the production of TCR-T, CAR-T, and allogeneic cell therapy investigational products at our Tarzana, CA site. This contingent assignment assists in building our manufacturing capabilities and ensuring compliance and operational excellence for pipeline projects in oncology research and development. Key Responsibilities
- Support GMP readiness for clinical manufacturing—including equipment procurement, installation, qualification, and facility preparation.
- Execute operational tasks inside cleanroom environments following all safety policies and cGMP requirements.
- Assist in developing and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and documentation for manufacturing processes.
- Set up manufacturing areas and sophisticated automated equipment for therapeutic product production.
- Contribute to technology transfer of pipeline products using working knowledge of cGMP regulations.
- Work collaboratively to maintain high standards of safety and quality throughout manufacturing operations.
- Degree or relevant experience in a lab, biotech, or manufacturing setting (cell therapy experience is a plus).
- Familiarity with cGMP regulations and cleanroom protocols is preferred.
- Experience developing or following SOPs in manufacturing environments is ideal.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and willingness to collaborate.
