$19/hour
1st shift Mon-Thur 6 am-4 pm
FOUR DAY WORK WEEK/3-DAY WEEKEND EVERY WEEK!
What's a typical day as a Production Worker / Packer? You'll be:
• Ensuring product is up to requirements and customer specifications.
• Ensuring safety and food safety requirements are met and following all plantwide GMPs.
• Measuring, weighing, counting, and packaging products and materials.
• Examining and inspecting containers, materials, and products to ensure proper specifications are followed.
• Recording product, packaging, and order information on specified forms and records.
• Following proper procedures in regards to defective products or materials.
• Reporting all food safety and quality problems to personnel with authority to take initial action.
• Demonstrating a sense of urgency to accomplish assigned tasks.
• Understanding and complying with all HACCP, Allergen, Environmental, regulatory, and customer demands and requirements.
• Having a working knowledge of allergen segregation.
• Maintaining a safe and clean work environment and departmental housekeeping standards.
• Understanding and complying with all GMP requirements for the manufacturing of food-safe products.
This job might be an outstanding fit if you:
• Have a high school diploma or GED.
• Have a good attendance record.
• Have previous experience of 3-6 months in a related field.
• Can work well with others in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Are respectful, approachable, and team-oriented while building strong working relationships and a positive work environment.
• Can read, write, perform basic mathematical calculations, and accurately record data.
• Can frequently stand, walk, kneel, reach, climb, pull, and bend with full range of body motion.
• Can work independently and/or on a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Can work in uncomfortable environments including hot, cold, wet, and/or humid conditions. Occasional exposure to fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals. Possible exposure to nut allergens.
• Are willing to work weekends, holidays, and varying shifts, as required.
