Job Opportunity: Project Accounting Analyst IV

What You'll Be Doing
You'll work closely with Project Managers and team members to manage costs, forecast cash flow, prepare reports, and support financial decision-making across the project lifecycle.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Cost Tracking & Forecasting
    • Collaborate with Project Managers to ensure all project expenses are properly recorded and reported
    • Review timesheets, financial documentation, and prepare estimates for future costs
    • Perform monthly reviews of cost and cash flow forecasts with the project team
  • Project Planning & Controls Support
    • Provide guidance to team members on cost planning, tracking, and reporting best practices
    • Assist with creating and managing project structures and budgets in ERP systems like Oracle, Copperleaf, and EPPRT
    • Support procurement processes, including purchase requests, invoice coding, and vendor coordination
  • Reporting & Budget Management
    • Create regular financial reports that clearly explain how and why money is being spent
    • Make updates to forecasts and budgets as project needs evolve
    • Support preparation of annual budgets and spending reports across departments

Who We're Looking For
You're a detail-oriented, financially minded professional who can balance accuracy with speed. You enjoy working independently, communicating clearly, and contributing to large-scale projects with many moving parts.

Must-Have Skills & Experience:
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in project accounting, cost management, or project controls
  • Background in Oil & Gas, IT, Petrochemical, Industrial, or Power industries preferred
  • Strong knowledge of Project Controls principles and how they apply in real-world projects
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel and other tools for financial analysis
  • Experience working with ERP systems (Oracle, Copperleaf, EPPRT or similar)
  • Ability to explain financial concepts clearly—both written and verbally
  • Proven ability to manage workload independently while collaborating with remote or cross-functional teams

Nice to Have:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
  • Certified Cost Engineer (AACE's CCC/CCE) or Project Management Professional (PMP) designation
