Salary: $120,000 - $150,000/yr.

About the Role:
A leading holdings group is seeking a Media and PR Partner to oversee communications strategy for a portfolio of AI-focused companies. This individual will be responsible for shaping the organization's external narrative, fostering relationships with prominent journalists and publications, and increasing visibility for company leadership and ventures in top-tier media outlets.
The ideal candidate is a former business journalist from a reputable publication (e.g., The Wall Street Journal, Bloomberg, Financial Times, Forbes, or The Information) with a robust network spanning media, venture, and technology sectors. This role works closely with senior leadership to create compelling stories highlighting the group's impact, innovation, and long-term vision.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement media and communications strategies across corporate and portfolio announcements.
- Cultivate and sustain relationships with top-tier journalists, editors, and producers across business, technology, and venture outlets.
- Shape messaging and positioning for the organization and its operating companies to ensure strategic alignment.
- Draft and secure placements for thought leadership pieces, interviews, and op-eds featuring founders and executives.
- Oversee the creation of press releases, media briefings, and communications for product launches.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external agencies to manage brand reputation, crisis response, and ongoing PR initiatives.
- Identify, pursue, and secure speaking engagements, panel participation, and media features to enhance brand visibility.
- Prior experience as a journalist or senior editor at a major business or technology publication.
- In-depth understanding of venture ecosystems, startup narratives, and current AI trends.
- Extensive relationships within the business and technology media landscape.
- Outstanding writing, editing, and narrative development abilities.
- Proven skill in converting complex technical or financial topics into accessible, engaging content.
- Strategic thinker capable of balancing broad messaging with hands-on execution.
- High integrity, discretion, and ability to excel in fast-paced, high-stakes settings.
