Purchasing Inventory Technician
Hillsboro, Oregon
Pay starts: $25 +/- (DOE) W2
Day Shift: 7:00am – 4:00pm

The Purchasing Inventory Technician will play a pivotal role in facilitating purchasing support and performing inventory management tasks within the customers organization. This position involves directly handling procurement processes from order request to delivery, as well as executing various inventory management duties such as shipping, receiving, allocation, and auditing support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Purchasing Support: Receive order requests from the customer.
  • Research requested items and engage with suppliers to determine pricing and delivery dates.
  • Proactively communicate with requesters to provide status updates.
  • Initiate purchases using Purchase Orders PO.
  • Inspect delivered items, document discrepancies, and deliver to requesters.
  • Inventory Management: Create Integrated Shipping Memos following customer guidelines for High Value Inventory HVI and High Value Product Inventory Program HVPIP shipments.
  • Update systems of record and create Material Inspection Reports accordingly.
  • Notify relevant parties of shipment status.
  • Receive incoming shipments of HVI and HVPIP. Update systems of record and create Material Inspection Reports accordingly.
  • Notify necessary individuals of shipment arrival.
  • Allocate silicon to individuals per request.
  • Update systems of record and create Material Inspection Reports.
  • Reclaim returned silicon and update systems of record.
  • Restock in home location for future allocations or scrap based on customer approval/guidelines.
  • Assist in completing quarterly audits on HVI and HVPIP.
  • Provide support in book-to-floor and floor-to-book audits as advised by the customer.
  • Attend/provide training for new tools/processes and knowledge transfer as required.
  • Update tracking systems with shipment information.
  • Bake sample inventory as needed to ensure sample viability.
  • Part Number Creation: Create New Product Introduction NPI and High-Volume Manufacturing HVM part numbers in the customer s tools of record.
  • Testing: Perform calibration or Operational Readiness Lab test equipment as required.
  • Conduct local thermal testing of NPI samples in the Operational Readiness Lab.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in procurement or inventory management is a plus.
  • Must have experience in procurement, inventory management, or related field.
  • Familiarity with purchasing processes.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective interaction with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills to maintain accurate records and track inventory movements.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, adapting to changing priorities as needed.
  • Proficiency in computer applications such as Microsoft Office Suite and inventory management software.
  • Knowledge of shipping and receiving procedures, including handling of high-value inventory.
  • Ability to lift and move packages.
  • Capability to stand, walk, and perform physical tasks for extended periods.
  • Compliance with safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Capacity to work in various environmental conditions, including warehouses or manufacturing facilities.
