Job Title: Purchasing Specialist

Salary Range: $18–$25 per hour (depending on experience)
Employment Type: Full-time temp-to-perm

We are a global leader in the manufacturing of electro-mechanical cable assemblies, in business since 1988 and ISO 9001 and 13485 registered. We're currently seeking a Purchasing Specialist to support our Purchasing Manager with all aspects of the purchasing process.

Expedite high-priority purchase orders and follow up with suppliers on delivery issues

Generate and maintain overdue reports

Perform inventory cycle counts as directed

Update kitting and wire short shelf status

Research and compare vendor pricing and specifications via catalogs and online sources

Work with Accounts Payable to resolve vendor invoice issues (e.g., discrepancies, shortages, returns)

Prepare reports and statistical data using computer software
-
Order and maintain office and janitorial supplies

Perform other manufacturing-related tasks as assigned

Receive training in Receiving and Kitting functions to serve as backup when needed

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (overtime available as needed)

Work Environment: Casual atmosphere, mix of office and warehouse duties

Required Skills:

Proficient in English (verbal and written communication)

Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

Strong analytical and critical thinking skills

Proficient in basic math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, measuring)

Comfortable with repetitive tasks and multitasking

Team-oriented with a positive attitude

Ability to lift up to 25 lbs regularly and 50 lbs occasionally

Able to sit or stand for extended periods

Capable of reading and understanding labels, packing slips, and documentation

Computer and data entry proficiency
Education & Experience:
-
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required
-
Prior office and/or warehouse support experience preferred
-
Experience with ERP/MRP systems is a plus
-
Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
