Job Title: QA Supervisor (3rd Shift)
Location: Aurora, CO
 
Salary Range: $60,000 – $75,000 annually
 
Schedule: 10:00 PM – 6:30 AM (3rd Shift)
 
Employment Type: Full-Time
 
Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Supervisor to oversee QA activities during third shift operations in a food manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for supervising QA Technicians, maintaining quality and food safety programs, and ensuring that all products meet regulatory and customer standards. The ideal candidate has a strong background in QA systems and is comfortable working in a production environment with cross-functional teams.
 
Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate daily activities of QA Technicians to ensure all quality tasks are completed accurately and on time.
  • Provide leadership on quality and food safety issues in collaboration with production and QA teams.
  • Maintain and enforce compliance with food safety and quality management systems, including SQF, HACCP, and GMP requirements.
  • Support internal, customer, and third-party audits; participate in inspections and analyze findings to implement corrective actions.
  • Train and support QA and production personnel on quality procedures, documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Review and organize quality documentation and operational paperwork daily.
  • Manage inventory of lab and QC supplies, and coordinate training on new equipment or processes.
  • Support product release processes, hold/trace/recall programs, and foreign object prevention initiatives.
  • Assist in addressing customer complaints and implementing corrective/preventive actions.
  • Act as a backup for the QA Manager during absences.
  • Ensure work areas and personnel comply with established hygiene and GMP standards.
 
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Quality Management, or related field; or equivalent experience in a food manufacturing environment.
  • Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience in a QA department.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of food safety programs (HACCP, SQF, GMP).
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends as needed.
  • Reliable transportation to and from the facility.
 
Preferred:
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish)
 
Physical Requirements / Work Environment
  • Active presence on the production floor required.
  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and push/pull up to 45 lbs (assistance available as needed).
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching.
  • Work performed in a food production environment with standard PPE requirements.
