Job Title: QC Technician II
Shift: Monday - Friday 1st Shift (7:30am-4pm)
Pay Rate: $23.00

Position Summary:
QC Technician II performs daily sampling and testing of manufacturing facility's water system to ensure it meets regulatory requirements for WFI following established methods and SOPs in accordance with cGMPs.  Seeking a self-motivated individual with strong communication and operational skills to coordinate and execute testing processes as defined in standard operating procedures with limited supervision or guidance. Candidate must be able to work independently, as well as on teams within the Microbiology and Environmental Quality Control Laboratories.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collect water samples from throughout the facility and analyze samples for TOC, conductivity, endotoxin, and bioburden while adhering to cGMP's, SOP's, and all safety regulations as they apply to the laboratory.
  • Demonstrate judgment, tact, and diplomacy; in dealing with internal and external customers.
  • Gain proficiency on all testing areas required. Responsible for maintaining department equipment and requesting consumables as needed. Understand and exercise all safety requirements and procedures.
  • Support all company policies, participate in achieving department goals, perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

Education
  • Associates degree preferred or High school diploma or GED required with 1-2 years QC experience.

Experience
  • Experience (2+ years) in MS Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Proficient oral and written communication skills are required to be effective in this role.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
  • Strong people skills, team focused.
  • Strong written, verbal, and organizational skills, and the ability to work independently.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks as necessary.
  • Must be available to work Sunday when needed.

Preferred Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in the biological sciences.
  • Schooling or course work in microbiology or microbiology lab experience.
