Job Title: Quality Technician I
Location: West Bridgewater, MA
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8-hour shifts (flexible start time)
Pay Rate: Starting at $19.00/hour (negotiable based on experience)
Employment Type: Full-Time | Non-Exempt
Reports To: QA Manager

Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Technician I to join our Quality Assurance team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will assist with inspections, testing, quality control activities, and support for new product launches. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with basic lab or inspection experience who is eager to grow professionally.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform inspections and testing per QA procedures and maintain proper documentation

  • Monitor production floor equipment for proper usage and functionality

  • Support quality investigations, MRB evaluations, and retain sample reviews

  • Assist with new product startups, commercialization trials, and test material sampling

  • Input quality data into digital systems (Excel, quality databases, etc.)

  • Conduct daily measurements of product specs using calipers, micrometers, etc.

  • Assist in training and supporting production quality testers

  • Monitor and support floor-level quality controls (e.g., labeling, tester data entry)

  • Adhere to all company policies, GMP standards, and safety regulations

  • Report concerns related to food safety, quality, legality, or product integrity

  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives

Qualifications

Required:

  • Minimum 6 months of inspection or lab experience

  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word

  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and documentation skills

  • Ability to read measurements and operate basic testing equipment

  • Willingness to learn and grow with the company

Preferred:

  • Experience in food, medical, or industrial manufacturing

  • Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems (IFS preferred)

  • Knowledge of Visio and QI Macros is a plus

Work Environment & Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to lift/move up to 50 lbs

  • Regular standing, walking, reaching, stooping, and handling tools

  • Visual acuity required (color, close, distance, peripheral, depth)

  • Exposure to manufacturing noise levels and safety-sensitive areas (PPE required)

Compensation & Benefits
  • Weekly Pay

  • Starting at $19/hr (commensurate with experience)

  • Flexible work hours

  • Sign-On Bonus Program – up to $1,000
